The conference commenced with a joint session. The attendees were welcomed in succession by Mr Marian Pawlik OAM, President of the Federation of Polish Organisations in Victoria, and Dr Monika Kończyk, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Sydney. The official part concluded with a commemorative photograph of all participants and guests.

Workshops for teachers were conducted by two methodologists: Ms Liliana Sosnowska – a secondary school teacher and ORPEG consultant, and Ms Magdalena Dębowska – a teacher at a Polish community school in Madrid, a trainer at the Polish Community Association's Teacher Development Centre, and an advisor at the Local Methodological Centre in Madrid.

The theme of the workshops was the introduction of activating methods in Polish language lessons in community schools. Ms Liliana presented online resources that could be utilised in creating interactive educational materials, including both a database of inspirations and ready-made worksheet templates for various educational levels. Many participants brought laptops or tablets, allowing them to immediately explore the potential of specific educational websites and portals. Ms Liliana also demonstrated examples of online clouds for creating and archiving materials, as well as quiz and crossword generators.

Our second speaker, Ms Magdalena, presented a wide range of educational games to the participants, which can be crafted either at home or at school. An intriguing idea was to create games based on already popular market games, simply adapting them to the needs and skills of students. Thus, we engaged in Doble, Taboo, Trimono, Queue, What Was I Talking About...?, Do You Think What I Think?, Charades and Rumour or Falsehood? The atmosphere of fun was contagious among participants, and each subsequent game demonstrated that playing with words and grammar could be more effective than textbook exercises.

The group of teachers also had the opportunity to listen to information about educational historical projects organised by the Institute of National Remembrance, presented by Professor Marek Wierzbicki – a historian, scouting instructor, and supervisor of the History Stop in the Kozienice Forest District. The IPN organises many engaging contests and educational projects dedicated to national heroes. It conducts History Stops, which educate, entertain, and integrate the young generation of Poles. It creates multimedia educational materials (e.g., films and games) that can be used in historical education for children in Poland and worldwide.

The intensive training day concluded with a gala dinner, a wonderful occasion to participate in the "National Reading" campaign and celebrate the successes of students and learners.
Initially, actors from the Miniature Theatre brilliantly recited excerpts from the novella "The Barrel Organ" by Bolesław Prus, one of the novellas selected for this year's edition of the "National Reading" campaign. The "National Reading" campaign has been organised since 2012 by the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.

Subsequently, scholarships were awarded to the best student by the Polish Professionals Association in Australia and the Federation of Polish Organisations in Victoria. The honour was received by Dominik Babula, an 11th-grade student actively involved in scouting and the Polonez Ensemble.
During the dinner, diplomas were also awarded to the graduates of the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) course.

The conference and methodological workshops for teachers and Polish community leaders were organised by the Federation of Polish Organisations in Victoria, with financial support from the Local Methodological Centre Australia (within the framework of the ODN SWP assistance programs), the Polish Educational Society in Victoria, the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Sydney, and the City of Greater Dandenong.
