NATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR TEACHERS OF THE POLISH LANGUAGE

The Polish Education Commission in Australia invites teachers and educators from Australia to the National Conference for Teachers of the Polish Language, to be held this year from 25 to 27 September 2026 in Canberra.
The conference program incorporates methodological and pedagogical workshops and presentations designed to strengthen the professional competencies of teachers and educators operating with both younger and older student cohorts. Key subject matters to be addressed include, but are not limited to, the following topics:
A tiny dot effects profound changes;
Exploring Poland with the locative case;
From listening to action – active teaching methodologies for the Polish language in Polish community schools;
An emotional carousel: supporting child well-being through song; and
Collaboration with parents as a source of professional satisfaction and inspiration.
Additionally, lesson plans and worksheets developed by an interstate team of educators from Australia under the "Regional Educational Materials – Australia" initiative will be presented.
Opportunity has also been allocated for the exchange of professional experiences and best practices among educators.
Keynote Speakers
Aneta Matyszczyk (New York, United States) – Methodologist at the Local Methodology Centre (LOM) in New York and the Teacher Training Centre of the Central Council of Polish Supplementary Schools in America.
Agnieszka Kaczmarczyk (Poznań, Poland) – Educator, Level III trainer and supervisor with the KLANZA Association, and President of the KLANZA branch in Poznań. She holds a Master's degree in pedagogy and postgraduate qualifications in the Psychology of Management. She has delivered over 20,000 hours of training for educators, animators, and organisational leaders. Her areas of expertise include play-based pedagogy, active learning methodologies, communication, tutoring, mediation, and the prevention of professional burnout. She is the co-author of educational programs, publications, and music releases for children. For many years, she has collaborated with Polish diaspora educators across Europe and North America, delivering workshops, conferences, and professional development projects.

Registrations must be submitted via the online form available at https://forms.gle/fVfU87WxMtfSmo5A6. The closing date for registrations is 30 August 2026. Please note that delegate numbers are limited.
Comprehensive administrative details, including provisions regarding potential travel expense reimbursements for participants residing outside the Australian Capital Territory, are outlined in the regulations.
Information concerning participant accommodation will be disseminated by the Organiser closer to the date of the event.

The Conference is organised by the Polish Education Commission in Australia Inc., in partnership with local entities and institutions supporting Polish diaspora education.
The organisation of this conference is co-funded by the Institute for the Development of the Polish Language from the state budget of the Republic of Poland. The project operator is the "Wspólnota Polska" Association.
